We’re often asked how The Kid Connection began. The truth is, it was born out of necessity during an unprecedented time—COVID. When the world shut down, and schools went virtual, supporting students with dyslexia became nearly impossible in that format. Amidst barking dogs, crying babies, and everyone simply trying to get by, it was the kids who bore the greatest impact. With her background in dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia, Courtney soon found neighbors bringing their children to her driveway for in-person support.

As fall came and schools returned to in-person learning, the need for The Kid Connection remained clear. We continued our mission to build confidence and close academic gaps for children. Our heart is and always will be to create a space where every child feels seen, heard, and empowered to reach their fullest potential—socially, emotionally, and academically.
