ACADEMIC SUPPORT
We at The Kid Connection truly understand that all students learn differently. We not only believe that but, work hard to celebrate that.
At times, kids might need a little support, maybe some one on one, or small group instruction in specific subject areas to help boost their confidence in ways that the general classroom doesn’t always have time to provide.
At TKC, students get the individualized support they need to excel in their education. Our teachers are subject certified, and mastered in the art of helping our kids grow their confidence, and strengthen their area(s) of need.
We offer tutoring for children K-12 in all subject areas, specifically Reading, Writing, Math (through Algebra II), Science (through Chemistry), History, and Spanish.
At The Kid Connection, it is our goal to turn struggling readers into confident readers. We are so grateful for the advancements that have been made in the area of Dyslexia, especially for the tools and methods that we as parents and educators can now use to better support our students, and help them to become more proficient readers and writers.
TKC offers students identified with Dyslexia a multi-sensory approach to reading fluency/ comprehension, and writing utilizing Orton Gillingham and The Wilson Reading programs.
Students will be given an introductory assessment to determine current performance levels. This, in addition to their education plan, will help us in developing goals and a plan that meet the child’s specific learning needs.
